Digitized Manuscripts

Digitized images of Einstein's manuscripts have been grouped here according to content into three sections: Scientific Writings, Non-Scientific Writings and Travel Diaries.

The headings below can be expanded to display more specific divisions of each section and eventually list folders. You may then view a folder's contents by clicking on the folder's number. Note that, as of this version, Einstein Archives Online presents images only for Einstein's handwritten manuscripts. It does not provide facsimiles for correspondence, typewritten manuscripts, photos, audio material, etc. For more information, see our About page.

The links constitute a sub-set of the List of Folders in the Finding Aid. Many folders are not listed on this page because they do not contain any handwritten manuscripts (and hence no images). If you want more information on all the folders in the Albert Einstein Archives, please go to the complete Finding Aid. Everything is also available through searches in our Archival Database.

In addition to the three sections listed here, this website provides you with access to several Einstein manuscripts in the Schwadron and Yahuda collections of the Jewish National & University Library.
